On May 2nd, the Dutch-based collective AfrobeatsNetherlands is bringing their signature energy to Portugal for the first time with the launch of AfrobeatsPT at Cargo Lisboa. This marks the beginning of a new chapter, connecting Afrobeat lovers across borders.

Born in the Netherlands from a passion for music, culture, and community, AfrobeatsNetherlands started as a way to bring people together through the powerful rhythms of Afrobeats music. Over the years, the collective has grown into a key player in the European Afrobeat scene, organizing sold-out club nights, collaborating with DJs, dancers, and creatives from across the diaspora, and building a loyal and diverse audience that keeps coming back for more.

Now, with Lisbon’s vibrant cultural mix and growing appetite for Afro sounds, it felt like the right time to expand. AfrobeatsPT is the collective’s first step into Portugal, offering a night of music, movement, and connection. Expect Afrobeats delivered by an international lineup of DJs who know how to move a crowd.
