This past May, Lisbon witnessed something special. On the sands of Caparica, more than 1,200 people gathered for the debut of AfroBeach N’ Brunch, an all-day celebration of African music, food, and culture. What unfolded was not just another beach party but a cultural moment that lit up the coastline with energy, rhythm, and unmistakable summer vibes.
From the first beat of Afrobeats classics to the closing sounds of Amapiano and Afro House, the event created a unique atmosphere where locals and international guests danced shoulder to shoulder. Flags from across the world waved proudly, saxophonists and drummers brought the music to life, and the air was filled with the aromas of jollof rice, suya, and barbecue. For many, it felt like Lisbon had found its new summer ritual.
The success was undeniable—tickets sold out in advance, and attendees left calling it one of the most vibrant events of the season.
On the heels of that triumph, AfroBeach N’ Brunch has confirmed its return. Round 2 will take place on Saturday, 23rd August 2025, at Waikiki in Caparica.
The formula remains familiar: a beachside celebration featuring Afrobeats, Amapiano, Kuduro, Kizomba, and Afro House, backed by live performers and entertainers. But organizers promise even more surprises this time around. Guests can again expect African-inspired cuisine, beach games, cultural showcases, and an atmosphere designed to capture the essence of summer.
Lisbon has long been a city that thrives on cultural fusion, and events like AfroBeach N’ Brunch highlight just how global its audience has become. For one day, the shores of Caparica become a meeting point where music, food, and community blend seamlessly.
If the May edition was any indication, demand will be high. With tickets already on sale, it’s likely that AfroBeach N’ Brunch Round 2 will once again sell out—cementing its reputation as one of Lisbon’s most anticipated summer gatherings.
